The HTC Desire 501 and Sony Xperia L are Mid-Range Android Smartphones. Both these devices have a 4.3 inch screen, but there is a negligible difference in the resolution. The Desire has a resolution of 800x480 pixels which boils down to a pixel density of 217 pixels per inch (PPI), whereas the Xperia L has a slightly higher resolution of 854x480 pixels. Both of them are Dual-sim phones but the Desire 501 supports only micro-SIM cards instead of the normal SIM cards. The Desire 501 is powered by a 1.15 GHz dual core chip whereas Xperia L has a dual core chip clocked at 1GHz. Both these phone have 1GB of RAM.

Both these phones sport 8 megapixel rear cameras with flash which can shoot HD videos (at 720p). The 2.1 megapixel secondary camera of Desire 501 is better than the 0.3 megapixel camera of Xperia L.
