Lenovo is a Chinese tech company that started from a guard shack in Beijing as a computer manufacturer. The company was initially named Legend and initially used to import televisions to China which failed. A year after their initial failure they started conducting quality checks on computers for new buyers. Legend computers later changed their name to Lenovo along with a new logo when they planned for international expansion. In 2005 Lenovo acquired IBM's Personal Computer business along with the tablet division. Lenovo had a different experience with the mobile industry. They sold their mobile division in 2008 for 100 million Dollars and later went on to buy it back for 200 million dollars in November 2009. Lenovo entered the smartphone market on 2012 and soon became one of the largest smartphone vendor in Mainland China.
