Google Pixel 2 XL

The Google Pixel 2 XL is the company's flagship device for the year 2017. The device is touted as the smartest phone for the year as it features artificial intelligence as an integral part of its software. As the phone is made by Google, it rocks the latest iteration of Android out of the box and will be the first in line to receive updates.

Display
In terms of display, the Pixel 2 XL features a 6-inch P-OLED Quad HD display having a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. This display is capable of reproducing a very crisp pixel density of about 537 PPI which is super sharp and owing to the AMOLED display, it will be able to show pitch blacks and vivid colours. In addition to that, the phone also features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection to keep its display safe from cracks in the event of an accidental drop.

Performance
Under its hood, both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL feature similar specifications. Both phones are powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC made by Qualcomm clocked at 2.35GHz. It also packs in an Adreno 540 GPU for enhanced graphics performance. In order to keep the phone lag free and ensure a seamless user experience, Google has provided 4GB of RAM with the device. 

Design
The Pixel 2 XL features a splendid looking bezel-less design on the front, featuring mostly the display on the front. The Pixel 2 XL also sports a metal body with a dual tone colour at the back . The upper half of the back has a glossy feel to it while the lower half has more grip to it which is expected to smoothen out with time. Also on the front, the device sports two front firing speakers. The phone ships in two colour variations which Google has dubbed as Black and Black & White.

Camera and Battery
The Pixel 2 XL rocks the highest rated camera on any smartphone yet, according to DxOMark. The module comprises of a 12-megapixel dual-pixel autofocus sensor which is heavily skinned with software features enabling it to take exceptional images along with Portrait mode. On the front, it rocks an 8-megapixel selfie camera which captures some really aesthetic images also made possible due to its software enhancements. The phone draws its power from a 3520mAh Li-ion battery pack which should offer some good battery owing to its power-efficient processor and display panel.

Audio and Connectivity
On the audio front, the phone sports stereo speakers located above and below the screen respectively. This means they fire sound towards you when you are watching a video. Unfortunately, the headphone jack has been eliminated as far as the Pixel 2 series go, however, it is replaced by the USB Type-C connector which doubles up both as a charging port and a headphone jack. On the connectivity front, the phone offers support for multiple 2G, 3G and 4G bands, VoLTE, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth.
