Google Pixel 3

Google launched the Pixel 3 in October 2018. The device is the successor to last year’s Pixel 2 & 2XL. The latest Pixel 3 comes with upgraded specs and features. Let’s take a look at the detailed overview below:

Display & Design:

The Pixel 3 rocks a 5.5-inch OLED bezel-less display bearing FHD+ resolution. It is shielded by a Corning Gorilla Glass on the top for protection against accidental damages and scratches. The device is also IP68 certified dust and water resistant. In terms of design, the Pixel 3 sticks to a traditional look with top and bottom bezels. Like its predecessor, it features a two-tone design with the bottom half coated in matte paint. The device will ship in three color variants – Clearly White Just Black, and Not Pink .

Cameras:

The one standout feature of the Pixel devices is the camera. The rear camera is a 12.2MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture. The camera offers dual pixel phase detection and optical+electronic image stabilisation. Up front, Google has fitted dual cameras on Pixel 3 comprising of 8MP sensors, one of which is a wide-angle lens. As for video recording, the device supports 4k resolution at 30fps. Google has redesigned the camera app interface to make it smarter. The cameras on both phones are backed by AI and Machine Learning capabilities that aids clicking better pictures even in low light.

Hardware & OS:

Under the hood, the Pixel 3 houses Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 processor. The device pack 4GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPUs. It offers 64GB internal memory. There is no microSD card slot for further storage expansion. On the software front, the Pixel 3 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Battery & Connectivity:

The battery on the Pixel 3 has a 2,915 mAh capacity with support for fast charging as well as wireless charging. As for connectivity, the Pixel 3 doesl not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other connectivity options include nano-SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, W-iFi, GLONASS, and NFC.
