LG G Flex 2 Features

As you must have guess, the LG G Flex 2 is the successor to the LG G Flex. The G Flex was the first attempt by LG to make a phone with a bendable display as well as a self healing back. The LG G Flex 2 on paper improves on the LG G Flex in all the departments. Therefore, if you are looking for a phone with a curved panel, then G Flex 2 is pretty much your only option out there.

Display & Design
The device ships with a 5.5 inch P-OLED curved display with a Full HD resolution. This display features a 700mm radius curvature and a 650mm radius curvature on the back. There is also a Gorilla Glass 3 for adding toughness to the display and ensuring that it stays intact. LG has claimed that the Corning Gorilla Glass inclusion will result in at least 20% more strength as compared to the LG G Flex. In terms of design, the G Flex 2 is very similar to the Flex 1. You have nice subtle curves with a rounded back which sits well in the palm. The phone feels a little more solid than the G Flex in general. You have the volume buttons as well as the power button on the rear of the device, just like most LG flagships now.

Hardware and Features
Talking about the performance we get Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 Octa Core chipset clocked at 2GHz and paired along is 2GB of RAM. The processor does sound top notch but the RAM could have been 3GB to ensure butter smooth multitasking. From the software end, LG G Flex 2 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with LG's UI running on top of it.

Camera and Storage
There is a 13MP camera on the back of the device with an LED Flash, whereas on the front is a 2.1MP sensor for video calling needs. When the rear camera can shoot videos up to 4k, the front camera looks to be below average in terms of picture quality. And to store all the data you have 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.

Battery and Connectivity
4G support is one major thing missed out with the LG G Flex 2, and the device supports only one Micro SIM. LG G Flex 2 has got NFC support. To power all this we get a 3000mAh non-removable battery which does sound decent and should last through the day.

In this price range you can check out better options like the OnePlus 2,LG Nexus 5x,Sony Xperia Z3+ etc, all of which support 4G. The OnePlus 2 has double the RAM of 4GB to handle better multitasking. Also considering battery and camera, the OnePlus 2 looks like a better device here.
