LG Nexus 5X 32GB Features

The Nexus 5 was a hit phone from LG in 2013, largely because it had all the hardware any power user could ask for, topped with buttery smooth performance of stock Android. More importantly, it didn'’t cost a lot of money. In 2014, Google’s Nexus 6 made by Motorola was largely a dud because of its enormous size and high asking price. Since then, a lot of people had been asking for a redo of the Nexus 5. And in 2015, Google has done just that with the LG Nexus 5X. Although it is taller and wider by a few millimeters than the original, the Nexus 5X is still more comfortably-sized than its big brother, the Nexus 6P.

The slightly increased 5.2-inch LCD display still bears the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The processor has been upgraded to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core chip. It still has 2GB of RAM, which although satisfactory, isn’t as ample as the 3 or 4GB of RAM found in phones in its price range. This is the 32GB variant but has no microSD card slot. The cameras are upped to a 12 megapixel sensor with a 1.55 micrometer pixel size, which should translate into better photo quality, especially in darker conditions. The front-facing selfie camera is also bumped up to 5 megapixels.

The other interesting thing placed next to that camera at the back is a fingerprint scanner that Google calls ‘Nexus Imprint’. It works a lot like Touch ID on the iPhone, or scanners found on phones like the Galaxy S6. Its placement at the back means your index fingers should naturally place themselves on it when you pick the phone up. Unfortunately, it will be physically impossible to use the scanner when the phone is kept on a table though.

There’s a reversible USB Type C connector, which isn'’t as common as microUSB is today. So, you’ll have to buy an appropriate Type C to USB converter to use it with regular chargers. Speaking of charging, battery life was one of the major pain points of original Nexus 5 owners, and they’ll be glad to know that the battery capacity has been bumped up to a healthy 2700mAh.

There are many reasons why you should prefer spending a few thousand rupees extra and buy the Nexus 6P. But the Nexus 5X isn’t a bad choice for people wanting a reasonably sized phone with the latest version of Android and VoLTE support.

The Nexus 5X is a great phone overall, with one of the best 1080p screen, along with one of the best camera at this price! It’s made of plastic and it may not be the best-looking phone you can get but It’s great to hold, the plastic finish provides plenty of grip and it’s among the lightest phones around too. Camera is identical to the unit on the 6P and it performs well not only in good light but also pretty good in dim conditions too. It has Snapdragon 808 processor and only 2 GB of RAM, which might seem a little low, but It handles everything from general tasks to multi-tasking to gaming very well! The Fingerprint Scanner on this device is fast and accurate. The one area where the Nexus 5X is weaker is battery life. It generally lasts a day, but no more, which is disappointing.
The Good
  • Fast Fingerprint Scanner
  • Excellent Camera
The Bad
  • Average Battery Life
  • No MicroSD Support

A beautifully designed phone by LG and Google and has excellent hardware and software performances. One thing that every users feel after buying this phone that this phone does not feel premium in hand as other flagship devices plus it does not offer metal body. It has 32GB Internal Storage and has 2GB RAM but it is not sufficient these days where you expect a lot more from smartphones in this range. It is good phone but I wont recommend you to buy this phone, it also has usb 3.0 which is the future and you need to carry your cable everywhere as it is not so commonly found.

I have been using Nexus 5X for over an year now and can confidently say that it is one of the better pure stock android devices out there. I upgraded to 5X from my nexus 5. The fingerprint sensor is powerful. The size is just about right. Add to this that the latest updates are always available. Camera is just about good enough for me. Never been a heavy camera user. - Battery back up: Lasts 3/4th a day but again I am a very heavy user. - Screen is perfect - Charging is fast and smooth - Battery saver mode is great. 10% charge can go for 2-3 hours.
The Good
  • - Finger print sensor is god sent
  • - Overall screensize
  • - Performance
The Bad
  • You could always do with a better battery.

LG Nexus 5X is a pure android beast in a plastic cage. It is really light to hold, and too simple to use with some really good features and a quick fingerprint scanner at the back. Feels good in hands. It can be used well because of it's amazing overall performance.
