LYF Earth 2

Earth being the premium series of smartphones by the brand LYF, Earth 2 has got some real neat features to justify the price. It is so far the most expensive phone by the brand and in terms of performance it should not disappoint users that use the device for basic purposes and apps but not game a lot, especially graphic intensive games. Even though it might not be the best piece of hardware, the device does support 4G and VoLTE support as well, something that every LYF device boasts of.

Display and Design
LYF Earth 2 has a handy 5 inch display size that is difficult to find these days, the display has a 1920x1080 pixels resolution that gives the display a pixel density of 441PPI. At this pixel density the display is surely very sharp and crisp. Unfortunately, there is no Gorilla Glass protection. Coming to the design, the device boasts premium build materials like Glass on front and back of the device with Metal sides around the device.

Performance and Software
On the inside we have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 chipset running, it is Octa Core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz and paired with it is 3GB of RAM. This combination should provide decent user experience but do not expect the best of gaming experience, however the 3GB of RAM should let multitasking between apps buttery smooth. Talking about the software, LYF Earth 2 disappoints here a bit as it does not ship with the latest Android Marshmallow out of the box but is still based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with no information on future software updates.

Camera and Storage
On either sides of the device we have got a 13MP shooter which might cheer those selfie lovers and comes with a couple of enhancement features from the software end. Both the cameras can record videos up to 1080p @ 25fps and sport an LED Flash for low light shots, whereas the rear camera also features Laser Autofocus. To store all your high quality pictures and other data you get 32GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded via a MicroSD card up to 64GB.

Battery and Connectivity
To power all this there is a 2500mAh battery that which ideally won't last you a day if you are a sort of heavy user. The battery is sealed on the back of the device and unfortunately, the device does not support wireless or fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the phone accepts Dual SIMs of which the second slot is Hybrid which will take a MicroSD card or a Nano SIM. LYF Earth 2 is 4G enabled device with VoLTE support.
