Micromax Canvas 4 (A210)

The Micromax Canvas 4 is a follow-up to the highly popular Canvas HD model from the Indian phone maker. Feature-wise, the phone hasn't changed a great deal — it still has the same 5.0-inch 1280 x 720 pixel IPS panel, the same MediaTek MT6589 quad-core chip pumping in 1.2 GHz and 1GB of RAM. What has changed for the better internally is the storage — which is upped from 4GB to 16GB; thereby giving the user around 10GB of internal memory, other than the expandable microSD card slot of course. This will prove handy while installing big games and apps that refuse to install on the microSD card. Next, you've got a 13 megapixel camera at the back (as compared to the 8 megapixel sensor on the Canvas HD). Apparently, the Canvas 4 records 1080p Full HD videos, while the Canvas HD could do only 720p, which is funny because they both have the same chipset. Not just that, there's also a whopping 5 megapixel sensor up-front, which should be better while taking self-portraits (a.k.a selfies). The battery has the same 2000 mAh capacity, so expect comparable battery life to the Canvas HD. Externally, the Canvas 4 has a better look-and-feel thanks to the metallic band wrapping its edges. A gimmicky software features includes blow or shake to unlock the phone.
