OnePlus 5T was launched in November 2017 and was the company's flagship phone. It came with all the trending features of the year including a bezel-less display and dual-rear cameras. Let's take a look at the complete specifications and features of the OnePlus 5T.

Design & Display:

The OnePlus 5T has a metal unibody which gives it a premium look and feel. The phone was launched in only one colour, Midnight Black but new colours were launched soon after. It is now available in Sandstone White and Lava Red along with Midnight Black. As mentioned earlier, the phone has an AMOLED 6.01-inch bezel-less display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. There's a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top which ensures that the screen is more durable and scratch. It is also enhanced by a 2.5D curved glass to offer a better user experience.

The OnePlus 5T rocks a dual-camera setup with a combination of 20MP + 16MP. This setup allows the camera to click portrait pictures, better low-light images and much more. On the front, there's a 16MP sensor to click selfies. The selfie camera works great provided there is enough lighting. The phone also supports video recording up to 4K resolution.

Performance, Software & Storage:

You get Snapdragon 835 along with a massive 8GB RAM so there is no stone left unturned when it comes to core performance. Talking of the operating system, the 5T comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box. But OnePlus has already announced Android 8.0 Oreo for the phone so you can expect to get it soon. It is layered with Oxygen OS which is bloat-free and offers a near stock experience. You get 128GB of storage in this variant and it is not expandable via external means.

Battery & Connectivity:

The OnePlus 5T has a 3300mAh battery unit that is not user removable. It supports Dash Charge which is one of the fastest ways to charge a smartphone. When it comes to connectivity, it has a USB Type-C port for charging and a 3.5mm jack for listening to audio. Other connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and VoLTE.

OnePlus 5T is an upgraded version of previously launched OnePlus 5. The smartphone now comes with Edge to edge display. I feel like the cameras on this model is not that great as it used to be in OnePlus 5. Still one of the great catch right now in the market. A device capable of lasting for the next 2-3 years without any doubt.
The Good
  • Edge to Edge great display
  • Slim, lightweight and comfortable build
  • Amazing battery life
