Overview
The Xiaomi spin-off POCO now has an entry level offering. This device named POCO C3 has similar specs to the Redmi 9C. It brings in a 5000mAh battery, a triple camera setup and a splash resistant body. Sadly, the device misses out on a type-C port and a fingerprint scanner.
Design and Display
The POCO C3 features a 6.53 inch IPS LCD display with a water drop notch. It has a screen resolution of 720x1600 pixels and a pixel density of 269ppi. The device is made available in three colour options Arctic Blue, Lime Green and Matte Black.
Cameras
In terms of optics, the POCO C3 features a single 5MP selfie shooter on the front. Whereas on the rear the device gets a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Video resolution maxes out at 1080 30fps. The camera supports features like AF Phase Detection, Artificial Intelligence, Auto Flash, Auto Focus, Bokeh Effect, Continuos Shooting, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), ISO control, Touch to focus, White balance presets and camera modes like Panorama, and Portrait Mode.
Performance and Battery
The POCO C3 is powered by Mediatek's Helio G35 chipset,which was previously seen on the Redmi 9C. It is an octa-core chipset coupled with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The device ships with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage, which is expandable upto 512GB via MicroSD. It derives power from a 5000mAh battery with 10W fast charging support.
Software and Connectivity
The Redmi POCO C3 runs MIUI 11 on top of Android 10. In terms of connectivity, the device has support for dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS.
