Smartphone industry’s rising brand Realme has officially teased its debutant to the all-new V series dubbed Realme V5. The smartphone will natively support 5G and will arrive with some quite interesting specs and attractive design. This camera-centric device seems to be the most affordable 5G device so far. The choice of components seems absolutely great making this the next mid-range killer and the ultimate bang for your buck.
Design and Display
Realme V5 is supposed to showcase a 6.5 inch (16.51 cm) IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixelsand a surprisingly high pixel density of 405ppi. The bezel-less punch-hole display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 seems highly immersive and expected to offer a seamless viewing experience. The brand claims a screen to body ratio of 90.7% but on measurement, it comes out to be only 83.9%. Further, the smartphone will reportedly get Corning Gorilla Glass Protection as well. Although not the best in this segment, it’s still more than a decent display.
Cameras
Realme V5 will reportedly feature a powerful quad-camera setup at the back with a 48 MP (Digital Zoom) camera as the primary sensor. Along with that, an 8MP Wide Angle Camera, a 2MP camera and a finally 2MP depth sensor will also be seen. Upfront, the device is expected to feature a single 16MP camera for capturing selfies. Looking at the features, the camera is supposed to offer stuff like Artificial Intelligence, Auto Flash, Auto Focus, Bokeh Effect, Continuos Shooting, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geo-tagging, ISO control, Time Lapse, Touch to focus, White balance presets.
Battery and Performance
The Realme V5 is said to be powered by the MediaTek MT6853 Octa-Core chipset. Clubbed with it will be a Mali-G57 MC3GPU to pull off a smoother gaming experience. The device will reportedly offer 6 GB RAM along with an internal storage of 128 GB, which can be expanded all the way up to 256 GB. Fuelling the device will be a massive 5000mAh battery that will also support Flash Charging.
Software and Connectivity
The Realme V5 is expected to ship with Android 10 out of the box with Realme UI on top. Talking about Connectivity of the device, it will offer various options including 5G support, Dual sim VoLTE support (Nano + Nano (Hybrid)), Wi-Fi 802.11, ac/b/g/n/n 5GHz, GPS, and Bluetooth 5.0. The smartphone will also be getting a 3.5mm Headphone Jack along with a USB Type-C port. The fingerprint sensor on this device will be a side-mounted one.
