While Samsung's A-series lineup maybe the house to some of the best upper mid-rangers, it seems the brand is finally going to launch an entry-level A-series smartphone dubbed Samsung Galaxy A02. Packed with pretty mediocre specs, an outdated processor, a rather small battery, users won't be getting anything interesting except for the fact that they get to have a Samsung smartphone at a very affordable price tag.

Design and Display

The Galaxy A02 is supposed to feature a 5.7 inch PLS TFT LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and a pixel density of 295ppi. The bezel-less display will sport a waterdrop notch design with an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The Galaxy A02 will reportedly feature a dual-camera setup on the back with a 13MP primary camera, and another 2MP depth sensor onboard. Upfront, the smartphone is likely to pack in an 8MP selfie shooter. The camera will also support features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, and Touch to focus.

Battery and Performance

The Galaxy A02 will possibly be powered by the outdated entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core chipset coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. The device is supposed to pack in 2GB RAM paired with an internal storage capacity of only 32GB, which can however be expanded up to a whopping 512 GB. Fuelling the device will reportedly be a decently sized 5000mAh Li-ion battery.

Software and Connectivity

Galaxy A02 will run Android 10 out of the box. Speaking of connectivity, the smartphone will reportedly support Dual sim VoLTE (Nano + Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth 5.0. Besides, there will also be a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB 2.0 port.
