Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100)

Samsung Galaxy Note II is a follow-up to the original Galaxy Note that created history by successfully spearheading the 'Phablet' category of huge-screened smartphones. The Note 2 sports a 5.5 inches display with HD super AMOLED capacitive touch screen bearing a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels. It features the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, that runs on a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor based on the Exynos 4412 quad-chipset. This handset comes in three flavours with internal memory options of 16/32/64GB, 2GB RAM and a memory card slot for further expansion by 32GB. The Galaxy Note 2 features multiple connectivity options like 2G and 3G networks, Bluetooth v4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, Near Field Communication (NFC) and S-beam.

This phone is equipped with an 8MP camera that has features like auto focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus and image stabilization. This gives an image quality of 3264 by 2448 pixels. It also has a secondary front facing camera of 1.9MP which enhances video recording of 1080p at 30 fps. The handset has the all-new S-Pen which boasts of attributes like Air View, Quick Command, Popup Note, Easy Clip, idea Sketch, Photo Note, Paper Artist and handwriting recognition. In addition, this phone also includes other features like Stereo FM with RDS, sensors like accelerometer, proximity and compass, DropBox of 50GB storage, active noise cancellation, Organizer, Document editor, Voice Memo and predictive text input (Swype). N2 runs on a standard Li-Ion battery of 3100 mAh which sustains up to 16 hours of talk time and gives 890 hours in stand-by mode. This phone is available in Titanium Grey and Marble White colours. If you find the Note 2 a little too big for your taste, then the Galaxy SIII or Galaxy S4 retain almost all the features (except for the S-pen stylus).
