The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is like a more rounded and elder sibling of the Galaxy S7. Unlike last year, where the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge had pretty much the same size, the Galaxy S7 Edge is slightly bigger than the edge-free Galaxy S7. Other than the bigger size, there are not too many dissimilarities between the S7 and the S7 Edge.
Display & Design
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge brings the same glass and metal design as the Galaxy S7. However, thanks to a few more subtle curves especially at the bottom of the device, the S7 Edge is easier to pick off the surface without accidentally touching the edged display. It features a 5.5 inch Quad HD display giving it a pixel density of 534 PPI. Thanks to a high PPI and Super AMOLED display, the screen is perhaps one of the best that you will see in 2016 and the edges on both the sides only add to the viewing pleasure. The display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Hardware & Feature
The internals of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are exactly the same as the Galaxy S7. The device is powered by Exynos 8890 Octa Core chipset in India and Snapdragon 820 mainly in North America. There is a fingerprint scanner on the home button and a heart rate monitor on the back of the device. Just like the S7, the S7 Edge is IP68 rated, allowing you to submerge the phone under water for about 30 minutes.
