Overview
Vivo V17 Pro is one of the best smartphones offered by the company in the mid-range budget. The V17 Pro is the world’s first smartphone with dual pop-up selfie cameras. The handset also flaunts a fast charging, beefy battery, good specs and quad rear cameras.
Design and Display
The Vivo V17 Pro features a 6.44 inches Super AMOLED, 2.5D curved glass bezel-less display, with a screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a pixel density of 409ppi. There is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on top for screen protection.
The phone offers a USB Type-C port for fast charging. There is a 3.5mm universal audio jack to connect the headphones. For security, it has a fingerprint scanner mounted under the display screen and gets face unlock feature as well.
Cameras
Though having six cameras in one phone might sound over the top but the Vivo V17 Pro has actually made it possible. The phone has a quad-camera set up at the rear side alongside a dual-popup selfie camera set up in the front. The primary camera of the phone is equipped with 48MP with an aperture of f/1.8, accompanied by a 13MP camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, the cameras provide features like 10x digital zoom and 2x optical zoom, auto flash and touch to focus features.
The phone comes with two pop-up front cameras including the primary 32MP lens and an 8MP camera with soft light flash for clear selfies under dim lit conditions.
Performance and battery
The Vivo V17 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor which is powered by Adreno 612 GPU. It further comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which cannot be expanded any further. It gets a 4,100mAh battery with fast charging feature.
Software and connectivity
The phone runs on the FunTouch OS 9.1, which is based on the Android 9 Pie. Connectivity-wise it comes with dual sim, 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n/n 5GHz and Mobile Hotspot.
