Vivo recently announced a Perfect Selfie phone called the Vivo V5. This phone has got a stunning 20MP Sony IMX376 front camera with Moonlight selfie flash with a complete focus on selfie lovers. Besides the camera sensor, Vivo has also added several modes to beautify and deliver a perfect selfie experience.
Design and Display
Vivo V5 has a metal unibody construction and comes in two colors - Crown Gold and Space Grey. At just 7.55mm, Vivo V5 is fairly slim and the curved sides make it easy to hold. The overall dimensions of the device goes like 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm. On the front of the phone sits a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels giving it a pixel density of 267PPI. The display also gets a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top.
Hardware and Features
Under the hood, Vivo V5 is powered by MediaTek MT6750 Octa Core processor that is clocked at 1.5GHz and paired along with 4GB of RAM. The processor sounds to be underwhelming after knowing the price, but the 4GB of RAM should be sufficient enough to handle multitasking among basic apps. On the software front, the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with Vivo's FunTouch OS 2.6 running on top of it. The software also features Smart Split, which basically mimics Multi Window mode single screen. On the back panel of the device you can also find a fingerprint sensor that Vivo claims will unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.
Camera & Storage
The Vivo V5 sports a 13MP camera that can record videos up to 4K and the camera also sports PDAF for faster focus and an LED Flash for night or low light conditions. Whereas on the front, it features a 20MP Sony sensor for excellent selfies with several modes and beautification features added on the software end. In terms of storage, you get 32GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.
Battery and Connectivity
Vivo V5 comes with a 3000mAh battery that is sealed inside the device and cannot be replaced by the user. This phone is a Dual SIM device and both the slots support 4G network. It also supports VoLTE for those looking to use it with Reliance Jio network. Apart from this, you get the standard Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
