The Redmi 9 Prime is the entry level offering from Xiaomi. It brings in a powerful processor, a splash resistant body and support for 18W fast charging. The device is aggressively priced to meet the requirements of consumers on a tight budget
Design and Display
The Redmi 9 Prime features a 6.53inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. It is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The device also comes with a P2i coating making it splash resistant. A water drop notch on the front houses the selfie shooter whereas the rear cameras and the fingerprint scanner are stacked in a vertical fashion.
Cameras
In terms of optics, the Redmi 9 Prime gets a single 8MP shooter on the front whereas a quad camera setup on the rear consisting of a 13MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 5MP macro shooter and finally a 2MP depth sensor. It is capable of shooting videos upto 1080 30fps.
