Overview

What Xiaomi did with its recent launch of the Redmi Note 10 series is really applaudable. Though the brand did not launch a 5G edition in India, the Redmi Note 10 5G is globally available. While the Redmi Note 10 5G might be one of the cheapest 5G devices, it also gets some better specs compared to the Indian variant of the standard Redmi Note 10. The Redmi Note 10 5G has a large 5000mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 Octa core chipset. The device also scores well in the display and cameras department.

Design and Display

The ​Redmi Note 10 5G features​ a ​6.5 inch IPS LCD​ ​display with a resolution of 1080​ x 2340 pixels​ ​and a pixel density of 405ppi. The display has a punch-hole​ ​and less bezels throughout. The aspect ratio of the device stands at 20:9. Above all, the device comes with a 90Hz refresh rate and also has Corning Gorilla Glass v3 protection.

Cameras

The ​ Redmi Note 10 5G has a ​triple ​camera system consisting of a 48MP primary wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, the device comes with a 8MP wide angle camera sensor on the front. ​Features like Auto Flash, Auto Focus, Bokeh Effect, Continuous Shooting, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), ISO control, Touch to focus, White balance presets are supported by the camera.​

Battery and Performance

The Redmi Note 10 5G is embedded with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chip​ and a ​Mali-G57 MC2 ​GPU.​ T​he RAM and internal storage of the device are 4GB and 64GB respectively. The device supports memory cards up to 512GB. The device does come with a large 5000mAh Li-Polymer battery and fast charging. Xiaomi claims it can charge the device completely in 74 mins only.

Software and Connectivity

Redmi Note 10 5G​ ​comes with MIUI on the top of Android 11 out of the box. The smartphone has a variety of connectivity options like 5G, dual SIM 4G(​Nano + Nano)​, ​Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n,​ GPS, and Bluetooth 5.1. Speaking of ports selection, the device has a USB Type-C port , ​a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint sensor placed on the side of the device.
