The Redmi Note 5 belongs to one of the most popular mid-budget smartphone series in India. It is a successor to the very popular Redmi Note 4. The rear camera has a single 12-megapixel sensor and on the front, there's a 5-megapixel camera for clicking selfies and making video calls. The camera setup is identical to its predecessor and hasn't been changed from the Redmi Note 4. You can also record Full HD videos via the rear sensor.

In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 5 packs in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset which is an octa-core processor. It is further combined with 3GB of RAM to allow seamless multi-tasking. The phone runs on MIUI 9 which is layered on top of Android Nougat. You can expect an Oreo update on the phone sometime soon. This variant of the phone comes with 32GB of storage but you can also expand it up to 128GB via a microSD card.
