Samsung

Samsung Telecommunications is the home of the Mobile Division of Samsung, and falls under the Samsung Electronics brand. Starting off with Symbian devices, Samsung has largely adopted Android as its preferred platform for phones, though there have been ongoing experiments with Tizen, an open source in house built OS. In its time of working on smartphones, Samsung has been involved in fair amount of high profile controversies, none bigger than the lawsuit filed by Apple claiming infringement of copyrights by the original Galaxy S smartphone. Samsung is also credited for bringing Super AMOLED displays to the world of smartphones, a display technology that is widely used by several manufacturers today. Samsung's portfolio has offered phones seperated by the price of just a few hundred rupees in India, covering every price band. Their strategy to flood the market with many options is seen to be adopted by struggling phone makers like HTCSony and even Motorola in 2015.
