Google Pixel 7a press renders have been leaked by MySmartPrice in partnership with well-known tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer. The leak has surfaced ahead of its expected launch at the Google I/O 2023 event, which is expected to take place on May 10.

The Pixel 7a renders show that its design language is similar to the Pixel 6a from last year. The Pixel 7a will be a mid-range device offering like its predecessor. Even though it will be a mid-tier device, it will come equipped with the same chip that powers the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro flagship phones, which were announced in October 2022.

In the new leak, the Google Pixel 7a can be seen in three colour options, such as White, Grey, and Blue. The device features a flat OLED panel with a centrally positioned punch-hole and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The bottom bezel of the 7a is a bit thicker as well compared to its remaining three bezels. Its right spine has a power key and a volume rocker.

The Pixel 7a has a raised camera bar on the back, which houses a dual-camera system and an LED flash. The company’s logo is also available on the rear shell of the device. The Pixel 7a is expected to release in India. However, it is unclear whether all these colour options will be available in the country.

Reports have revealed that the Pixel 7a will have a 6.1-inch OLED screen that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by the Tensor G2 chipset and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It is speculated that the device will be made available with UFS 3.1 storage options like 128GB and 256GB.

On the front, it will have an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The rear camera setup of the device will have a 64-megapixel Sony iMX787 primary camera and a 12-megapixel Sony IMX712 ultra-wide lens. There is no information on the device’s battery size. However, it will support 18W wired and 5W wireless charging. Lastly, it will come preloaded with Android 13 OS.
