A familiar face is joining the Indian electric scooter market — Kinetic Luna. The company said it is launching the electric version of the iconic scooter. While the automaker didn’t offer a lot of information on this e-scooter, it discussed the upgrades it has made to its production line to accommodate the new vehicle.
Firstly, the Kinetic Luna e-scooter will not be positioned towards the masses but instead for delivery and other related businesses. However, the company hasn’t ruled out a wider release of the scooter.

The company plans to have a production capacity of up to 5,000 each month while looking towards a 2023 release. In terms of the company’s ambitions, Kinetic says it expects to generate up to Rs 30 crore per year with the e-scooter. This is pretty much everything we know about the Kinetic Luna e-scooter, though the company could share more information in the weeks leading up to its arrival.
As 91Mobiles points out, this isn’t Kinetic’s first foray into e-scooters. The manufacturer also released the Zing electric scooter not too long ago, featuring a max speed of 60 kmph and the ability to run up to 125 km on a full charge.
Kinetic also shared that it has spent Rs 3 crores towards the upgradation of its plant in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. A majority of this amount has gone towards the enhancement of paint-related equipment and the addition of 30 new welding machines, the automaker said.
